Added the new Turtle pet from the latest Grow A Garden 2 update, which increases your inventory capacity.

While Grow A Garden 2 may tout itself as being all about the Seeds, recruiting new Pets to your cause is equally important. Why? Because the more little critters you have chilling out and kickin' back in your pad, the more of their useful Abilities and bonuses you'll be able to use, whether that's growing mutated crops or turning intruding gardeners into piles of ash.

To make sure you know what you're searching for when buying Pets, we've put together a full list of all the Pets in Grow A Garden 2, including how to get them, the Abilities they offer, every Egg type and how to manage your Squad by increasing your Pet slots.

If you're still a little confused about how to even get Pets in Grow A Garden 2, let's go over the basics. When leaving your garden, heading into the centre of the map, you'll often find animals roaming around the nearby area. If you look above their heads, you'll see a price tag and a timer. The timer indicates how long this critter will stick around before disappearing. If you want it, you’ll need to pay the quoted price before the timer expires, then the animal will walk to your garden and appear in your inventory.

How to manage Pets in Grow A Garden 2

After buying a Pet, you can find them in the Pets section of your inventory. If you equip them, then place them on the ground, they'll join your current squad. At the beginning of the game, you'll only have three Pet slots, but you can increase the number of slots by heading into the Pet tab, which you can open by pressing the button with a Bunny logo on the left-hand side of the screen.

This button will open up a tiny window showing all of your currently equipped Pets. If you look at the top of this tab, you'll see a button labelled '+1' with a price next to it. This is the cost of your next Pet capacity upgrade. Click it when you have the funds to upgrade how many Pets you can have following you simultaneously.

You can also unequip Pets in this menu. Just click on the unequip button to the right of the Pet you want to get rid of to send them back to your inventory.

Pet Mutations

Another aspect of Pets you'll need to consider is Pet Mutations. Pets afflicted with Mutations will have buffs to their abilities. A Bunny with a Rainbow Mutation, for example, will make you move even faster than the standard variant. They are, however, exceedingly rare, so if you do spot one, make sure you add them to your roster.

As of right now, there seems to be four Mutation variants. The full list of Mutations is shown below:

  • Rainbow
  • Big
  • Huge
  • Mega
