There is currently only one way you can get the Venus Fly Trap in Grow a Garden 2. You have to purchase it from Sam's Seed Shop.
However, there are two main obstacles to you getting the Venus Fly Trap. The first is the price - it costs 7,000,000 Sheckles, so it's not something you'll be able to get in the early game. You'll have to level up your earning power a fair bit before you can even think about purchasing one.
The other issue is how often it comes in stock at Sam's Seed Shop. The Venus Fly Trap only has a 1.43 per cent chance of being in stock when a restock takes place. So even if you have the in-game money, it won't be in stock often.
What does the Venus Fly Trap do?
With most seeds, it's easy to figure out why you'd want them in your garden, as it's just a matter of harvesting the plants once they've grown so you can earn extra Sheckles. The Venus Fly Trap is a bit different, though. You won't be adding this to your garden to earn a tidy sum.
The whole point of the Venus Fly Trap is that it protects your garden at night when other players are trying to steal from you. If an opposing player gets too close to the plant, it will bite them and cause them to lose the majority of their health. However, be careful. If you plant a Venus Fly Trap in your garden, it can also attack you, so make sure you don't get near it when it's trying to defend your crops from pesky thieves!
