Need help completing the Scientist quest in Abyss? While exploring the depths in this Roblox fishing RPG, you'll find new locations to plunder for quests, gear and rare fish. Venturing between these deep-sea hubs can be a bit of a pain though, especially as your oxygen is limited and, early on, you won't have much of it to spare on long trips between areas.
Luckily, there is an NPC who can help. The Scientist, who you'll find in the Forgotten Deep, has devised an invention that allows you to teleport between major areas, but when you first meet him, it's out of commission. In the quest that follows, he'll ask you to find some hidden items to fix the Teleporter, and in this guide, we'll detail exactly how to find them. Finding the Scientist
To begin the quest, we first need to find the Scientist. He's located in Forgotten Deep, the starting area of Abyss and your main spawn point. When you drop in, look for the broken porta-potty sandwiched between the portable stash and the Harpoon shop.
Next to the porta-potty is the Scientist. Speak to him and take on his quest to begin your scavenger hunt.
Finding the Scientist's missing items
The Scientist will tell you that this rundown porta-potty is actually a teleporter, but it's missing some key items required to make it function. Scientific items, of course, like a toilet, toilet paper, a door, and a power relay.
No, we aren't just making a normal porta-potty. The Scientist's obsession with lavatory-based inventions may be unconventional, but my word, he knows his stuff! All three of the items required are located inside the Forgotten Deep air pocket, so we won't have to go far. Here's where you'll find each of them:
Toilet location
The Toilet is found behind Richard's Bestiary stall. Look behind the tree to the right of where Richard's standing, and you'll see the toilet submerged in a patch of dirt.
Toilet Paper location
The Toilet Paper is found underneath a table where three NPCs are chatting, just to the left of the Harpoon shop. You'll find it near the wizard's chair.
The Door location
The Door is found leaning against the right-hand side of the Tubes shack, right next to where you purchase the Pufferfish Tube.
Power Relay location
The Power Relay is found directly next to Billy and the Portable Stash. While facing Billy, look at the rocks to the right of the shipping container he's leaning against. You'll see the Power Relay beside some wooden boxes.
Rewards
Once the Scientist quest is complete, you'll officially unlock the Teleporter. By interacting with the porta-potty, you'll be able to teleport to any other air pockets you’ve discovered around the map once you’ve interacted with the Porta Potties inside them.
The only real drawback to teleporting is that it costs money. One trip will set you back 250 coins, to be precise. Our good friend the scientist is cornering the market on porta-potty teleportation, and his monetisation plans are ruthless. As such, it's best relied upon when you've got a little more cash to spare and larger distances to cover.
