Searching for Tomo's Cat in The Forge? Tomo is a questgiver you'll run into early in Roblox's mega-hit fantasy RPG, and while you'll no doubt want the experience that comes from helping him, he'll assign you the most difficult of tasks: Finding his missing cat. You may think that sounds easy. I know I certainly did. "It's only a simple missing cat quest," I thought. "This is a tutorial for how side quests will work in the game!" But, no, Tomo's Cat is not a feline that wants to be found.
He's seemingly pulled a Houdini and, no matter how many nooks and crannies you search in Stonewake's Cross, you won't find him. You'd almost believe he's escaped the continent, and to his credit, he actually has. Not only that, but he's got himself locked behind one of the longest and most resource-consuming quests in the game thus far. Not to worry though, because we've tracked this little escape artist down for you. If you're looking for Tomo's missing Cat, here's exactly how to find him.

How to get the Lost Cat quest from Tomo
First things first, we actually need to go ahead and get the quest. To do that, head to Stonewake's Cross (if you're not already there) and head up the hill to the left of the entrance to the area's mine. Halfway up the hill, on the wall to your right, you'll see an NPC called Tomo The Explorist. Speak to him.
He'll give you a quest, telling you that his cat is missing and he needs someone to go find it. Now Tomo has officially told us he's an irresponsible pet owner, we'll need to go to the Forgotten Kingdom via our portal. If you're still in the early hours of the game, you won't be able to reach the Forgotten Kingdom until you've hit level 10 and completed Sensei Moro's prologue quest. So keep grinding away until you've met the requirements to teleport over.
Accessing the Goblin Cave
This next step is what makes this quest so long and arduous. We need to find the Goblin King in the Forgotten Kingdom and gain access to the Goblin Cave he guards. You can find his encampment on the outskirts of town. Follow the road, take a left when you reach the Forge and follow the path until you see two orcs guarding an entrance to a camp on your right. Head inside and you'll meet the Goblin King.
If you look to the right of his throne, you'll see a locked stone door. This is the entrance to the Goblin Cave. The only problem is that the Goblin King will only unlock it after we've completed his quest.
We've covered the quest in full over in our Goblin King quest walkthrough, so go check that out if you need help completing it. The long and short is that this will take a long stretch of time. You've got to find a bunch of very rare ores for the Goblin King, and pay him a hefty sum of cash alongside delivering them.
After the quest's wrapped up though, turn it in, and the Goblin King will flee the area. Once he’s gone, on his throne, you'll find a key to the Goblin cave.
How to find Tomo's Cat
Once you're inside the Goblin Cave, you'll finally have direct access to our little missing friend. To find him, follow the path through the area until you stumble across a large clearing. At the back of this clearing, you'll see a waterfall.
Video game 101 should come kicking in here. After all, we know from years of experience that waterfalls hide lucrative secret treasures. However, once you're through the cascading stream of water, you'll find... nothing. Just an empty nook.
But, hey, did Dark Souls teach you nothing? Illusionary walls are the new hidden waterfall chest! If you head forward towards the rock wall behind the waterfall and push against it, you'll find that the centre rock is fake. You'll pass right through it. In the hidden area beyond, you'll find Tomo's cat, sitting waiting to be taken back to its owner. Pick it up and then return to Tomo.
Rewards for rescuing Tomo's Cat
After returning Tomo's Cat, you'll earn a bunch of experience. Enough to net a good chunk of levels (which also means stacks of free cash). But far more importantly, you'll get the title "Cat Lover," which is sure to strike fear into the hearts of your foes. All demons, ghouls and gremlins know that only the baddest of badass warriors think cats are super chill.
And with that, you're good to get back out there and slay creatures, mine ore and hopefully never save another pet trapped inside a Goblin Cave with a hefty entrance fee. I'm starting to think Tomo only asked for help because he's mining early game ore and doesn't have those kinds of funds. Anyway, if you need more help in The Forge, why not use our guides? We've compiled all of The Forge's codes so you can get free Lucky Spins, and put together a guide on how to change your race. But, if you want a break from your stint in the mines, you can always check out our full list of Roblox guides here.
